Disney Marathon : Disney Marathon Winners

Sunday the Disney Marathon took place leaving Fredison Carneiro of Brazil the winner!
The thirty-three-year-old, Fredison Carniero, finished the 26.2-mile marathon in 2 hours, 21 minutes and 14 seconds that ended the winning streak of Adriano Bastos, a seven-time winner, who placed 15th.
Nabbing second place was a Virginia native, Michael Wardian who clocked in at 2:27:39 and an Orlando native, Paul Nielsen, grabbed third with 2:31:44.

The women’s race left Leah Thorvilson of Little Rock, Ark. winner. The former qualifier in the U.S. Olympic Trials finished in 2:42:10. Second place? Finally a New York native, Karen Simmonds-Brady with 2:51:14!

Rock n Roll San Antonio Marathon Results 2010

Thousands of runners joined the 2010 Rock 'n' Roll San Antonio Marathon on downtown Sunday morning.

Rock and Roll Marathon San Antonio 2010 Results (Men):
- Edward Tabut was the winner with a time of 2:17:04

- Paul Ngeny finished second in an unofficial 2:21:56

- Keith Pierce finished in 2:23:15 to round out the top three

Rock and Roll Marathon San Antonio 2010 Results (Women):

- Everlyne Lagat of Kenya finished first with an unofficial time of 2:42:43

- Elizabeth Malesich of San Antonio crossed in second at 2:53:08

- Emily Loeffler, also of San Antonio, finished third in 2:54:18

2010 ING NYC Marathon

Once again, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill residents made the eight-mile-mark of the 2010 ING New York City Marathon the most exciting leg of the race. Runners in the largest marathon ever (45,344) were cheered on by thousands of lively spectators along the seventeen block stretch. Runners entered Fort Greene to the sounds of loud inspirational music as they went by the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Further up Lafayette Avenue the Bishop Loughlin High School Marching Band played their rendition of the theme from Rocky. Runners exited Clinton Hill to a motivating sendoff from the Emmanuel Baptist Church Gospel Choir.

The women’s race was won by Edna Kiplagat (2:28:20) from Kenya, with American Shalane Flanagan (2:28:40) coming in second. The men’s race was won by first timer Gebre Gebremariam (2:08:14) from Ethiopia, with Kenyan Emmanuel Mutai (2:09:18) taking second place.
