Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano, has been caught lying to everybody who’s concerned about the airport scanning machines and full-body pat-downs all across America’s airports, reports say.
In an article that has been published in USA today, Big Sis has said things that have turned out to be lies. Napolitano asserted that the scanning machines are: safe for people’s health, effective in exposing security threats, and unable to store/print/send
images. She also said that the pat-downs are “discreet”.
But, scientists, airport personnel, parents, Muslim groups, and others all beg to disagree. Scanners can increase the risks of skin cancer, they have not been the source of even one security success story, plus they do store and print and can even transmit images. On the issue of discretion of the pat-downs, there is no one alive who would think that being touched on sensitive areas like your chest and your genitals – on an airport, in front of everybody – is such a comforting, assuring feeling.
