Jordan School District,Because of the storm and waiting for cold, some schools plan to close early or have canceled activities. Utah State University has canceled classes and plans to close all operations at 2:00 p, Utah Valley University announced plans to close their school at 4:00 pm Tuesday. Classes are now to be held on Wednesday.
DeVry University in Salt Lake County canceled all remaining classes on Tuesday, but classes were scheduled for Wednesday.
The campus of Brigham Young University was scheduled to be closed on Wednesday, except for essential services. Baketball A man gameand baketball women’s game still scheduled to be played on Tuesday night.
The University of Utah has announced the closure of the campus and canceling classes on Tuesday at 2:00 pm and transport operations Campus Student Union was expected to continue until 6:00 pm Tuesday. The decision of the closure or cancellation for Wednesday is pending.
All evening classes at Weber State University on 23 November were canceled, including all classes scheduled to begin at 4 pm in all of the WSU campus. Classes will be held on Wednesday as planned.
Salt Lake Community College canceled classes and closed all its school on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Granite School District has canceled all activities after 3:00 pm Tuesday. Granite District schools are already scheduled to be closed on Wednesday for the party.
Canyons School District will begin its holiday break as expected last week as the School District Davis County.
Jordan School District has canceled all activities of the school district and from 16:30 Tuesday afternoon, including all High School and Jordan Valley Family Literacy classes, sports activities and performances to schools local officials. District advised students and workers to return to their homes as soon as possible once it has finished school and avoid unnecessary travel. Jordan schools are open in the morning and classes will continue as planned.
South Summit School District has closed for the day and canceled all activities for the evenings of Tuesday and all day Wednesday due to the storm.
All Catholic schools in the state of Utah have closed early and canceled all activities on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Utah Transit Authority announced that it intends to continue running buses, TRAX and FrontRunner service as scheduled throughout the day and night despite the blizzard warning. UTA encourages passengers and travelers to allow extra time as the storm forecast for the area, since some routes may experience delays related to traffic or other conditions related to the storm. All bus routes, TRAX and FrontRunner is expected to continue to provide service throughout the day Tuesday and into the night. The Veterans Administration Salt Lake City Health Care System canceled all appointments and surgeries for Wednesday, November 24. This includes the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center and all our community clinics, with the exception of St. George. All appointments and clinics still on schedule for the remainder of Tuesday, November 23.
County Mayor Peter Corroon Salt Lake supervisors authorized to allow a little Salt Lake County employees (Administrative Services, Community Services, Social Services, Economic Development and the parties are not emergency Public Works) to get the job Tuesday at 15:00
County libraries and recreation centers were also closed and will open early Wednesday morning when the storm has passed. Salt Lake Valley Health Department is also closed.
Brigham City Corporation offices also closed at 2:30 pm on Tuesday due to the storm. Brigham City residents were asked to call 435-723-6868 to report power outages, if necessary.
Mount Olympus Christian daycare located at 3280 East 3900 South Salt Lake City will be closed Wednesday, November 24 due to bad weather.
